As a Compliance Officer focused on the Italian market, you will be part of the Legal & Compliance department in Malta. Your role is crucial for ensuring full alignment with ADM regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include daily monitoring of the ADM portal, managing regulatory reporting, supporting the Finance Team with financial obligations, maintaining documentation, and handling communications with Italian authorities. You will also assist senior team members and manage administrative duties, liaising with external counsel as needed. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills.
Must have:
  • Monitor ADM portal daily for updates and notices.
  • Manage regulatory reporting obligations to ADM.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for data collection.
  • Ensure timely submissions to meet regulatory deadlines.
  • Support Finance Team in meeting financial obligations for the Italian market.
  • Maintain and update corporate and technical documentation.
  • Oversee daily management of PEC (certified email) addresses.
  • Handle requests from Italian authorities regarding player data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for accurate replies.
  • Support the game approval process.
  • Assist senior team members in regulatory and compliance tasks.
  • Handle administrative duties for Italian Legal & Compliance.
  • Liaise with external counsel on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles.
  • Knowledge of Italian iGaming market and its regulatory framework.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Good to have:
  • Direct experience in the Italian online gambling sector

As Compliance Officer within a dedicated team solely focused on the Italian market, you will be part of the broader Legal & Compliance department. Based in Malta, you’ll report directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance – Italian Affairs and play a vital role in ensuring full alignment with the regulatory requirements of the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (“ADM”) and other relevant Italian authorities.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Monitor the ADM portal ("Area Riservata") daily to track updates, notices, and published documents.
  • Manage all regulatory reporting obligations to ADM via the Reserved Area or other applicable channels (including, but not limited to, antimafia documentation, AML reporting, service levels, player balances, etc.). This includes coordinating with relevant internal departments to collect the necessary data and ensuring submissions are completed in a timely manner to meet all regulatory deadlines.
  • Support the Finance Team in meeting financial obligations specific to the Italian market, including gaming tax and license fee payments, as well as managing bank guarantee adjustments. This includes extracting relevant data from the ADM’s Reserved Area in a timely manner and ensuring that the information is communicated appropriately to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update corporate and technical documentation for the operating company as required by ADM or other regulatory entities.
  • Oversee the daily management of PEC (certified email) addresses for the operating entity, ensuring proper handling of incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Handle requests from Italian authorities regarding player data or operational aspects, collaborating with internal departments to compile accurate and timely replies.
  • Where requested, support the game approval process in coordination with the Commercial team as needed.
  • Assist senior team members in various regulatory and compliance-related tasks.
  • Handle a range of administrative duties to provide operational support across the Italian Legal & Compliance function as required.
  • Liaise with external counsel as required on specific legal and regulatory matters.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles; direct experience in the Italian online gambling sector is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or keen interest in the Italian iGaming market and its regulatory framework, with practical application preferred.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High-level writing skills, capable of articulating complex regulatory concepts with clarity and professionalism.
