Consultant – Finance Systems (Planning & Reporting)

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will implement insightsoftware’s Budgeting, Planning, and Financial Consolidations solutions using cloud technology for global customers. This role involves understanding customer data flows, analyzing business requirements, designing applications, and configuring solutions. You will integrate products with ERP systems, track project progress, and build strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor in financial planning and consolidation.

Must Have

• 3+ years in Financial Consolidation, Planning & Analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial processes and accounting standards.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Experience with finance/consulting customer interaction.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Corporate Performance Management tools.
• Understanding of multidimensional modelling concepts.
• Understanding of ERP financial modules.

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will be implementing insightsoftware’s “Budgeting, Planning, and Financial Consolidations” based on the latest Cloud technology for leading, world-class customers reporting to the Professional Services Manager. Over time, you will become an expert at implementing our Budgeting, Planning, and Consolidation Solutions and eventually become a trusted advisor and coach to our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need a good understanding of the Finance function of larger organizations and the ability to quickly learn how to use and configure modern budgeting and reporting business applications, demonstrate excellent communication skills, devise and demonstrate disciplined execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand customer data flows and processes across budgeting, planning, and financial consolidation.
• Analyze business requirements and help design maintainable customer applications.
• Use your knowledge of Financial Consolidation or Financial Planning & Analysis to deliver insights and support customer decision-making.
• Set up, configure, implement, and test components of the solution.
• Integrate our products with customers’ ERP systems and relevant data sources.
• Execute tasks within an implementation plan independently or with guidance from a Project Manager.
• Accurately track your project time and deliverables.
• Demonstrate the value and benefits of insightsoftware solutions to customers.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure customer needs are understood and met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
• Provide clear updates to senior team members on project milestones and progress.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Financial Consolidation, Planning & Analysis, or relevant finance domains.
• Solid understanding of financial processes and accounting standards.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Experience working with customers or stakeholders in a finance/consulting capacity.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Corporate Performance Management tools (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream, CCH Tagetik, Oracle EPM).
• Understanding of multidimensional modelling concepts (dimensions, hierarchies, objects, etc.).
• Understanding of ERP financial modules.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts in business terms.
