Your role:

Aptiv is seeking a talented content creator to help promote the Electrtical Distribution Systems (EDS) business, portfolio, career opportunities, and culture. The predominate output will be video, where the successful candidate will assist in planning, creating, processing, video editing, sound design, audio editing, and video post editing. The person on this role will also be responsible for managing video for a wide variety of Aptiv’s distribution channels.

The ideal candidate must be creative, passionate about creating stories or messages through film and video, along with editing and have an eye for detail. The candidate must understand each project’s goal and be able to turn that into a powerful message.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with a team on storyboards to create the film or video product
• Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
• Record footage independently, or depending on the size and nature of the event, work with a crew
• Video editing (cutting and editing footage; rearrange and splice scenes that have already been shot and determine if scenes need to be re-shot; identify/insert visual effects as needed)
• Sound design and audio editing
• Preparing background film or “B” rolls
• Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
• Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
• Curating/archiving footage to recycle, repurpose and re-use with global video team

Your background:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience using professional recording equipment
• Demonstratable video editing ability with a strong portfolio, including knowledge of video editing software such as Premiere and After Effects; Da Vinci Resolve, Cinema 4D
• Graphic design and other content creation / editorial skills a strong plus
• Interest in ideation, media content, storytelling
• Ability to manage a high-volume of tasks with a strong sense of urgency
• Great organization and communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
