What We’re Building
Project Air is a new mobile platform that lets people create, follow, and interact with living AI characters—each with their own voice, stories, and style.
Think of it as Pixar meets TikTok meets ChatGPT: a space where characters come alive, post their own content, and connect with fans through emotion, story, and play.
As our first Conversation Designer, you’ll define the language, tone, and systems that make these AI characters feel alive.
You’ll design not just individual dialogues—but the underlying frameworks, prompts, and context models that power conversations for every character across the app.
---
What You’ll Do
- Design and author conversation systems that govern how AI characters communicate—internally (memory, tone, persona) and externally (dialogue, storytelling, and social interactions).
- Architect scalable prompt frameworks for character behaviors, emotions, and relationships—balancing creative freedom with product consistency.
- Define conversation design standards and emotional design patterns that guide every AI interaction in the platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design to implement conversational capabilities into the app’s chat, feed, and storytelling systems.
- Prototype and test multi-turn dialogue systems using LLMs and orchestration tools, refining through data and real user feedback.
- Partner with AI researchers and engineers to explore agentic architectures and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations—ensuring continuity, memory, and expressiveness across interactions.
- Contribute to the development of authoring tools that empower creators to define their own characters’ conversational identities.
- Help establish the creative grammar for how users, characters, and AI systems communicate inside Project Air.
---
What You Bring
- 3+ years crafting conversational experiences—whether in AI, UX writing, interactive media, or dialogue systems.
- Fluency in LLM behavior design and prompt iteration; you understand how to guide large models with clarity, structure, and emotional context.
- A strong grasp of tone, emotion, and linguistic nuance—you think deeply about how word choice shapes perception and personality.
- Comfort designing within systemic frameworks: prompt templates, variable injection, multi-turn memory, and persona persistence.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in 0 → 1 product environments; you thrive in ambiguity and learn fast.
- Analytical and creative balance: you can evaluate outputs qualitatively and reason about why the model behaved that way.
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with agentic architectures and Model Context Protocol (MCP)—you understand how multi-agent systems, memory, and tool-use shape richer conversational behavior.
- (Nice to have) Background in linguistics, cognitive science, or human–computer interaction, especially if applied toward tone, emotion, or conversational behavior in products.

- Contribute directly to the foundation of a new entertainment medium—conversation as creation.
