Responsibilities include managing executives' calendars, handling email and calls, conducting research (editorial, rights, contact info), preparing pitch materials (decks, sizzles), maintaining project databases and spreadsheets, transcribing calls, and assisting with ad-hoc duties. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years' experience in a studio, network, production company, or media entity, strong critical thinking, a passion for sports content, excellent organization and communication skills, and familiarity with the sports industry.

Skydance Sports is looking for a coordinator in the Unscripted Sports division that directly supports two development executives across an ambitious slate of feature documentaries, original docuseries and various general entertainment formats.  
 
This person will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support, including but not limited to scheduling, note-taking, generation and upkeep of organizational systems, tracking and grid work, as well as conducting research and development projects and writing. Great communication and organizational skills along with a willingness to dive in are paramount.  
 
The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn about unscripted filmmaking, have a love for all things sports and an enthusiasm for jumping into a fast-paced studio creating award-winning sports content with top-level talent from around the world.  

Responsibilities

    • Manage two executives' calendars, coordinating meetings and appointments with both internal and external participants  
    • Screen and responds to heavy incoming email correspondence and call volume 
    • Various ad-hoc research duties, including tracking down materials, editorial research, rights and contact information
    • Assist with the preparation of pitch materials (decks and sizzle support), presentations, and other creative development materials
    • Maintain database and spreadsheets on multiple projects, including executive specific grids such as those used to track incoming submissions, pitch grids, buyer mandates, etc.
    • Maintains and circulates the sports department grids (slate, tracking, overall deal list) including generating new grids as requested 
    • Take detailed transcription of creative calls and conversations as needed; transforms said notes into viable documents to be shared with producing partners and creatives on projects  
    • Assist with miscellaneous ad hoc duties 

Requirements

    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience at a Studio, Network/Streamer, Production Company, or other media entity
    • Strong critical thinking skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for sports content
    • Ability to prioritize projects and tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information
    • Working knowledge of the major industry players and broad understanding of professional sports (leagues, teams, athletes etc)
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
The hourly range for this non-exempt position in Los Angeles is $24.00–27.00.  The rate offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.  The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
