Must Have:

Fix issues in assigned scenes.
Help artists solve simple bugs.
Review Pending Tickets.
Assist artists with day-to-day departmental issues (e.g., creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies).
Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
Update basic documentation, including technical documentation related to workflows and tools.
Attend technical meetings to stay updated on new studio/department tools, pipelines, and workflows.
Keep up on current artistic methodologies and technology trends relevant to production.

Skydance Animation Madrid is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Artist Support trainee to join our studio!

As a Technical Artist Support trainee, you will be responsible for helping its assigned departments to solve basic technical issues.

Our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world experience. It is an experience ideal for those moving from the classroom to the industry.

This is a paid internship that will be held on-site.

Responsibilities

Fix the issues in the assigned scenes.
Help artists to solve simple bugs.
Review Pending Tickets.
Assist artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – eg. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
Updating basic documentation. Review and update the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
Attend technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
