Job Description

As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. You will be working with customers on the design, optimization, integration, testing and commercialization of Qualcomm IoT, Robotics solutions. This involves BSP integration, development, and system debugging on customer designs. You will work with customers to design & develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms, and also communicate with internal product & development teams on any HW/SW design related issues/features from customer designs. You will also work with customers in resolving any feature development and product commercialization issues.
Must have:
  • Experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with embedded system.
  • Understand ARM/RISC-V instructions and architecture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Linux bootloader, kernel, and user space programs.
  • Experience in Yocto build framework.

【Job Description

- To join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with customer to design & develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms.

Customer Engineers are expected to:

- Understand every aspect of customers' requirements and designs.

- To communicate with internal product & development teams on any HW/SW design related issues/features from customer designs

- To work with customers in resolving any feature development and product commercialization issues.

【Responsibilities

- Work with customer on the design, optimization, integration, testing and commercialization of Qualcomm IoT, Robotics solutions.

- BSP integration, development, system debugging on customer designs.

【Preferred Qualifications】

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Good experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python etc.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work on resolving customer reported technical problems during mobile or wireless communication product development cycles.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and willingness to work with customers.

7+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience

7+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++

7+ years’ experience with embedded system

Understand ARM/RISC-V instructions and architecture

Comprehensive understanding of Linux bootloader, kernel, and user space programs

Experience in Yocto build framework

Experience Linux kernel development, device trees, driver modification or backporting

Experience with Android/Linux software design

Experience with Yocto, RTOS

Familiar with debugging tool like T32,gdb

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
