Engineer, Senior - Core technologies Storage

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions, focusing on device driver development and storage protocols like EMMC, UFS, NVME, and SATA on Snapdragon platforms. Debugging and resolving driver issues will also be a key responsibility.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree and 1+ year, OR PhD.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python.
• Knowledge and experience in device driver development, firmware development.
• Proficiency in C / C++.
• Good understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.
• Excellent understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts.
• Experience in Windows/linux/UEFI storage drivers for EMMC, UFS, NVME, FS.
• Experience with storage protocols like EMMC/UFS/NVME/SATA.
• Ability to debug and resolve issues in drivers.

Good to Have

• BE/BTech/MTech – Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science.
• 3 to 6 years of experience with embedded systems.
• Experience on Windows/boot storage.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge and experience in device driver development, firmware development.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be proficient in C / C++
• Good understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.
• Excellent understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts
• Experience in Windows/linux/UEFI storage drivers for emmc, UFS, NVME, FS. Having experience on windows/boot storage would be plus
• Responsibilities:
• Driver design and development on multiprocessor and multithreaded Snapdragon platforms
• Drivers development/support includes storage protocols like EMMC/UFS/NVME/SATA.
• Debug and resolve issues in drivers reported by internal test teams as well as by customers.
