Job Summary
As a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be instrumental in building high-performance, secure, and maintainable web applications. This role involves developing SPA front-ends using Angular/TypeScript and scalable .NET Core APIs and microservices. You will be responsible for engineering reliability, ensuring quality through testing and code reviews, and securing the application stack. Collaboration with Product and UX teams, along with supporting production and mentoring junior engineers, are key aspects. Strong programming fundamentals, analytical thinking, and experience with C++ for performance-critical components are highly valued.
Must Have
- Experience: 3-8 Years
- Angular (v12+): TypeScript, RxJS, state management (e.g., NgRx), routing, forms, Angular CLI.
- .NET Core (6/7+): RESTful APIs, async programming (Task/await), dependency injection, middleware.
- Testing mindset: solid coverage, mocking, and test-driven thinking; familiarity with static analyzers/linters.
- Programming fundamentals: data structures & algorithms, complexity analysis, design patterns, clean code.
- Analytical abilities: decomposing ambiguous problems, identifying trade-offs, and proposing pragmatic solutions.
- Version control & workflows: Git, trunk/branch strategies, PR reviews.
- Communication & collaboration: clear written/verbal communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- C++ (Modern C++17/20): performance optimization, memory management, clean interfaces; interop with .NET.
- Cloud: Azure PaaS (App Service, Storage, Key Vault), Identity (Azure AD), Messaging (Service Bus/Kafka).

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Responsibilities
- Design & build SPA front‑ends with Angular/TypeScript, RxJS, and component‑driven architecture.
- Develop scalable .NET Core APIs and microservices; implement domain logic and integrations.
- Engineer reliability: logging, metrics, health checks, and graceful error handling; drive performance profiling and tuning.
- Own quality: author unit/integration tests (Jest/Jasmine for FE; xUnit/NUnit for BE), and participate in code reviews.
- Secure the stack: authN/authZ (OAuth2/OpenID Connect), input validation, and OWASP best practices.
- Automate delivery with CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions): build, test, release pipelines; containerize with Docker (optional).
- Collaborate with Product and UX to refine requirements; break down epics/stories; estimate and deliver iteratively.
- Support production: triage issues, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practices.
