Core Tech Engineer - 2026 Summer Internship

Obsidian Entertainment is seeking a Core Tech Engineer Intern for its 2026 Summer Internship program. This role involves working closely with Core Tech and Game Teams to develop tools for creating immersive open worlds and enhancing game experiences. The intern will program, debug, and optimize game features and tools, collaborate on designs, and iterate on features based on feedback, contributing to world-class roleplaying games.

Must Have

• Program, debug, and optimize game features and tools
• Collaborate with developers on designs and implementations
• Iterate on features and respond constructively to feedback
• An avid gamer with a passion for making games
• Enjoy collaborating with others in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of C++, C#, and/or Python
• Experience with Unreal Engine
• Working knowledge of debugging issues in code
• Examples of personal or school game projects
• Passion for gaming and the games Obsidian makes
