Corporate development plays a critical role in this vision, helping identify, structure, and scale the partnerships, acquisitions, and investments that accelerate Flock’s growth.
The Corporate Development Manager will help bring this vision to life. This person will help source, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and ecosystem partnerships that drive Flock’s GTM momentum and product leadership. The Associate will manage deal processes across the full M&A lifecycle - from sourcing and diligence through financial modeling, negotiation, and post-merger integration. This role will also contribute to build/buy/partner strategy, refine monetization models for ecosystem offerings, and help scale partner-driven adoption of Flock’s APIs and products - helping position Flock as the ecosystem leader in public and private-sector markets.
This position is required to live in Georgia or New York.
Key Responsibilities
Help source, structure, and manage M&A opportunities, leading execution across diligence, modeling, deal negotiation, and internal stakeholder alignment.
Partner with functional leaders to plan and execute integration efforts post-acquisition, ensuring both operational success and strategic value realization.
Identify and evaluate minority investment opportunities that align with our strategic priorities and enhance our ecosystem
Support the management of CVC initiatives, including investment thesis development, pipeline management, diligence, and portfolio monitoring.
Take ownership of ad hoc strategic projects (e.g. market assessments, competitive analyses, build/buy/partner evaluations, ecosystem strategy)
Develop materials and recommendations for the Executive Team and Board on corporate development and strategic investment opportunities.
Experience in corporate development, M&A, investments, partnerships, or consulting
Strong deal execution skills across M&A, investments, and partnerships
Ability to drive build/buy/partner decisions and strategic ecosystem development
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and align stakeholders
Sharp financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic thinking capabilities
Strong communication and executive presentation skills

The First 30 Days
Ramp on Flock’s corporate development strategy, priorities, and current deal pipeline
Build relationships with key stakeholders across Product, GTM, Finance, Legal, and Leadership
Deep dive on current and target partner ecosystem and M&A landscape
Support active M&A and partnership deal processes - diligence, modeling, and execution
Develop initial build/buy/partner recommendations for priority growth areas
Identify opportunities to refine and scale partner monetization and integration playbooks
Deliver an executive-ready market map of strategic partnership and M&A targets
The First 60 Days
Drive forward execution of in-progress M&A and partnership deals
Lead initial integration planning for upcoming acquisitions or major partnerships
Refine and validate build/buy/partner frameworks with cross-functional input
Support development of partner-driven monetization models and API adoption strategies
Build repeatable deal execution playbooks for M&A and partnerships
Deepen relationships with key external partners and target companies
Present early recommendations on priority market segments and partnership/M&A targets to Leadership
90 Days & Beyond
Active M&A and partnership deals will be progressing through diligence and negotiation - the Associate will support financial modeling, analysis, and cross-functional coordination
Initial post-merger integration and partner onboarding work will be underway - the Associate will assist in tracking progress and supporting key workstreams
The team will be refining partner monetization models and scaling API-driven offerings — the Associate will contribute to analysis and materials
A prioritized ecosystem & M&A target roadmap will be taking shape - the Associate will support research, market mapping, and preparation of executive materials
Market mapping in new strategic adjacencies will be launched - the Associate will conduct research and competitive analysis to inform build/buy/partner strategy

The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $120,000 and $150,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
