Position Summary
The Manager of Corporate Strategy will partner with senior leaders across the organization to address the most critical challenges facing the business. This role focuses on long-term growth opportunities and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives beyond day-to-day operations. The team’s scope includes all brands and business units across the organization.
This position is responsible for leading multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously while mentoring a team of direct reports (including Leads, Senior Analysts, and Analysts). Projects may include long-term growth strategy, capital allocation, shareholder returns analysis, strategic reviews, consumer and customer insights, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, valuation, and other initiatives that drive profitable growth.
The Manager will plan, design, and execute strategic solutions that create measurable business impact, while building strong relationships across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will have significant capital markets experience, strong knowledge of the consumer, travel, and hospitality industries, and the intellectual curiosity to identify key value drivers of leading companies. They will be adept at linking industry and financial insights to support growth opportunities and mitigate business risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of 3+ Senior Analysts and/or Analysts on enterprise-level strategy initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including finance, corporate strategy, and brand leaders, to deliver strategic insights that drive organizational growth.
- Conduct in-depth research and produce white papers on consumer, travel, and hospitality industry trends and business drivers.
- Lead consumer research initiatives in collaboration with insights teams to develop consumer-led strategies for both core and emerging markets.
- Generate ideas and content that help elevate financial and operational performance.
- Identify and communicate key business value drivers, benchmarking performance against industry peers.
- Provide strategic insights to executive leadership, planning, and finance teams for use in annual operating and strategic planning cycles.
- Create and manage a corporate value creation roadmap aimed at increasing market value and performance multiples.
- Lead the capital allocation process, including valuation, growth, shareholder return, and value creation analyses.
- Perform additional ad hoc duties as needed.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Master’s degree or CFA preferred.
- 6+ years of capital markets, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy experience.
- Experience in the consumer, hospitality, travel, or related industries preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
- Comfortable presenting to senior executives and able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with corporate and industry analytics, valuation techniques, and research methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is a plus.
