Job Summary
As a Creative Director at Yahoo, you will lead the creative vision and brand strategy for products like Yahoo Search, News, Games, and Weather. Must Have
- Lead and inspire teams to develop bold, innovative campaigns across Yahoo’s portfolio.
- Oversee the conception and execution of multi-channel campaigns, including digital display, social media, email marketing, video storytelling, and integrated brand experiences.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and strategy teams to craft briefs that set clear objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external agency partners.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and shifts in consumer behavior.
- 10+ years of creative leadership experience, ideally in consumer tech, digital media, or advertising.
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, strong visual storytelling, multi-channel campaign experience, and product-building expertise.
- Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external agency partners across complex campaigns.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).
- Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset to leverage insights and drive creative decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

Position Summary
As a Creative Director at Yahoo, you will shape the creative vision and brand strategy across multiple products, including Yahoo Search, News, Games, and Weather. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Studio, you’ll lead the creative charge across fully integrated, multi-channel campaigns, ensuring work is fresh, impactful, and aligned with business goals.
You know great creative when you see it, and you understand how to turn ideas into campaigns that resonate across audiences and channels. Your experience spans multi-channel campaigns, video and upper-funnel activations, and brand-building initiatives, and you excel at guiding work from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire the team to develop bold, innovative campaigns across Yahoo’s portfolio. Elevate work from good to exceptional through your taste, judgment, and feedback, while balancing vision with precision—ensuring every touchpoint, from copy to design to execution, meets the highest standards.
- Campaign Development: Oversee the conception and execution of multi-channel campaigns, including digital display, social media, email marketing, video storytelling, and integrated brand experiences.
- Creative Briefing & Brand Alignment: Collaborate with marketing, product, and strategy teams to craft briefs that set clear objectives, spark ideas, and provide actionable guidance. Ensure all outputs meet Yahoo’s brand standards and drive audience engagement.
- Agency & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external agency partners, ensuring all work exceeds expectations and aligns with strategic goals.
- Trend Monitoring & Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and shifts in consumer behavior to ensure Yahoo campaigns remain fresh, relevant, and competitive.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of creative leadership experience, ideally in consumer tech, digital media, or advertising.
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste, strong visual storytelling, multi-channel campaign experience, and product-building expertise, including video and upper-funnel activations.
- Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies and the ability to craft narratives that engage broad audiences.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external agency partners across complex campaigns.
- Skilled at translating strategic goals into bold, compelling creative work that strengthens products.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).
- Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to persuasively articulate creative concepts.
- Analytical mindset to leverage insights and drive creative decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Skilled at building deep partnerships across the business and contributing to strategic product and marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

The compensation for this position ranges from $129,210.00 - $281,305.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
