Yahoo is seeking a Senior Manager, Ad Quality to lead and evolve our global ad quality operations across display, video, and native ad environments. This role is essential to protecting Yahoo’s users, partners, and brand reputation while maximizing revenue opportunities across our advertising ecosystem.

You will oversee a distributed ad quality function responsible for identifying and blocking ads that violate policy, managing vendor partnerships that measure and safeguard ad performance, and ensuring Yahoo maintains a safe, viewable, and high-quality ad environment.

Responsibilities:

Ad Policy Enforcement & Monitoring:

  • Lead an offshore Ad Quality Operations team that monitors and blocks ads in violation of Yahoo’s ad policies (malware, deceptive content, inappropriate creatives, etc.).
  • Develop frameworks and workflows to detect, triage, and prevent policy-violating ads at scale across Yahoo’s programmatic and direct channels.
  • Balance protection and monetization by guiding the team to ensure minimal overblocking while maintaining strict compliance and user safety.

Native & Partner Ad Quality Oversight:

  • Manage Partnerships, ensuring that policies and user experience standards are consistently enforced.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and internal policy, product, and operations teams to drive continual improvements in ad experience and yield.

Ad & Content Quality Measurement:

  • Lead oversight of Yahoo’s third-party ad verification vendors, ensuring optimal performance on viewability, invalid traffic (IVT), and content suitability metrics.
  • Partner with analytics, operations, and monetization teams to translate vendor insights into actionable improvements that enhance advertiser confidence and revenue quality.

Security & Anti-Malvertising:

  • Own the strategic relationship with security vendors to prevent malware, redirects, and other malicious ad activity across Yahoo’s properties.
  • Coordinate incident response and mitigation plans with Security, Product, and Engineering when threats are detected.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Drive continuous improvement in ad quality tooling, processes, and KPIs.
  • Provide strategic input into Yahoo’s ad policy roadmap and content classification frameworks.
  • Mentor, develop, and empower team members to operate efficiently across geographies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Business Development to ensure Yahoo’s ad environment is compliant, brand-safe, and high-performing

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in digital advertising, ad operations, or trust & safety, with at least 3+ years in people management.
  • Deep understanding of ad verification, brand safety, malvertising, and policy enforcement workflows.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships (e.g., IAS, DV, HUMAN, Taboola, MOAT, GeoEdge).
  • Strong analytical and operational skills; ability to use data to inform policy and process decisions.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Legal, Engineering, and Revenue teams.
  • Experience leading or managing offshore or remote teams preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Ad Manager, DSP/SSP ecosystems, and native ad platforms a strong plus.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
