Job Description

A Creative Lead at Criterion Games will work closely with the Creative Director to shape the vision for Battlefield campaigns. This role involves overseeing the development process from concept to release, ensuring quality standards, and incorporating feedback. The lead will collaborate with various teams like design, art, programming, narrative, and audio, and provide leadership and mentorship to the design team. They will also manage budgets, resources, and coordinate with external partners, while staying updated on industry trends.
Must have:
  • Develop vision for Battlefield Campaigns with Creative Director.
  • Oversee development from concept to final release.
  • Focus on experience and encounter design.
  • Collaborate with Narrative, Level Design, Cinematics, Audio for continuity.
  • Ensure game meets quality standards and player expectations.
  • Adjust game design based on feedback and player testing.
  • Present project updates to senior management.
  • Review all game design content and assets.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to design team members.
  • Ensure game completion on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with external partners, marketing, and PR teams.
  • Stay updated with competitors, industry trends, and new technologies.

The Creative Lead will report to the Creative Director working Hybrid at our Criterion studio

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Creative Director to develop the Vision for the Campaigns in Battlefield
  • Oversee development process from concept to final release collaborating with design, art, programming, and production teams.
  • A focus and understanding on Experience and encounter design
  • Work with Narrative, Level design, Cinematics and Audio to bring experiences together ensuring continuity and creative agreement
  • Ensure the game meets quality standards and player expectations
  • Adjust game design based on feedback and player testing results.
  • Present project updates to senior management.
  • Review all game design content and assets.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to design team members, promoting a positive and creative and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate to ensure the game is completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with external partners, work with marketing and PR teams to promote the game where needed.
  • Stay updated with competitors, industry trends and incorporate new technologies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in game development in a Creative leadership role.
  • Experienced with successful game projects, first person shooter games but also acceptable would be in Single Player / Campaign experiences
  • Experience creating innovative, immersive, high quality gaming experiences.
  • Inspire and motivate a team.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Experience with play testing and gathering player feedback.
  • You will manage budgets and resources
  • Experience with multiple game development tools and software.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Deep passion for video games both as a creator and as a player
  • Interest in a varied genre of games, especially first person shooters and military themed ones
