Job Description

Motive is seeking a Senior AI Designer for the Battlefield team. This role involves collaborating with gameplay leadership to develop enemy AI and design mechanics for multiplayer. Responsibilities include partnering with designers on AI contribution, overseeing AI feature development, communicating design concepts, creating prototypes, implementing features, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure a top-tier player experience. The designer will also review the game against design goals and incorporate feedback.
Must have:
  • Partner with designers to ensure enemy and vehicle AI contributes effectively to the combat experience and supports the overall game loop.
  • Oversee and review AI feature development.
  • Communicate design concepts through various channels, including written documents.
  • Create and guide prototypes to explore design solutions.
  • Implement new features and content using our in-house engine and visual scripting tools.
  • Work across disciplines, including animation, programming, and level design, to ensure a top-tier player experience.

Motive is looking for a Senior AI Designer to join our team on Battlefield. You will report to the Senior Game Director and collaborate with gameplay leadership to develop enemy AI and design mechanics for the multiplayer aspects of the game. Join our multi-disciplinary AI team and work closely with other Gameplay Designers to craft a unique multiplayer experience.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of design experience in video game development.
  • Design credits on at least one title with responsibility for enemy AI or combat systems.
  • Knowledge of current multiplayer shooter games and market trends, with the ability to apply relevant insights.
  • Hands-on experience with game engines for design implementation.
