Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for its Central Technology's Creative Innovation team. This role involves pioneering Cloud and machine learning technologies into game development toolchains, leading a portfolio, and providing direct product leadership. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Product and manage Product Managers, influencing a broad range of high-value projects to revolutionize interactive entertainment and inspire creativity.
Must have:
  • Coaching, alignment, and strategic direction across your reports, multiplying organizational capacity, ensuring consistency and velocity across the portfolio.
  • Set product objectives and key results that align with the company strategy to anchor the team.
  • Create a cohesive product strategy for a portfolio of products by leveraging the team.
  • Drive initiatives that grow the portfolio of products by enabling the team.
  • Enable the team to leverage cross-functional expertise to build defensible points-of-view and become subject matter experts.
  • Build strategic options and roadmap using analytical rigor.
  • Empower the team to create a compelling story rooted in usable design.
  • Ensure the design story explains the Product Strategy to a broad set of audiences from executives to engineers.
  • Leverage cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Designers, and Architects to distill the design story into a Product Spec.
  • Manage high-level stakeholder relationships to ensure appropriate engagement and satisfaction regardless of roadmap and delivery timing, prioritization, or level of investment.
  • Ensure appropriate return on investment for all activities, new capabilities, and existing platforms.
  • Communicate the Strategic Roadmap of key initiatives to various stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Collaborate, partner, and align with other teams across EA.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management or leading software development teams.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of products/technologies that relate to game creation, development management, and general process optimization.
  • Experience assessing the performance and quality of the products.

We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to pioneer the use of Cloud and machine learning technologies into our toolchains to empower developers to create compelling games. You will lead this portfolio and provide direct product leadership ensuring early, visible wins while laying the foundation for scalable, transformative content creation practices. You will report into the Head of Product and be a people leader of Product Managers. Each of these PMs is responsible for multiple initiatives across central technology and studio workflows, meaning you will indirectly influence a broad portfolio of high-value projects.

This is a hybrid role and applicants must work from our Vancouver office.

  • You have 10+ years of experience in technical product management or leading software development teams. Production domain preferably video game development.
  • You have experience managing a portfolio of products/technologies that relate to game creation, development management, and general process optimization.
  • Experience assessing the performance and quality of the products.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$201,000 - $281,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
