Job Summary

Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Artist Intern to bridge the gap between artists and programmers for game development. This fast-paced role involves understanding technical art, game engines, and art pipelines. Responsibilities include creating animations and effects, utilizing software like Photoshop, Maya, and Unity, and collaborating with designers and engineers to implement new features while maintaining artistic vision.

Must Have

  • Understanding technical art with knowledge of engines and art pipelines.
  • Can create animations and effects for games using Particle Designer or After Effects.
  • Strong Knowledge of Photoshop & Maya and Unity.
  • Beginner Knowledge of the Production Pipeline.
  • Ability to proactively identify technical constraints while conceptualizing and executing solutions through new tools.
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset compression and optimization regarding multiple platforms (Unity, Cocos2D).
  • Develops generalized tools/techniques to help enhance the pipeline.
  • A mind for both artistic and technical workflows.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to implement new features.
  • Achieving artistic vision and appropriately expand upon the art direction given.
  • Solid technical foundation in at least one of the programing/scripting languages: Python, C#, JavaScript.
  • Good Problem-Solving Skills in game development related environment.
  • Utilize AI tools to fast-track solutions in an effective and organized manner.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Handles and resolves recurring problems.
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
