Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, Google Workspace, you'll work with leading companies using Google Cloud to enhance their productivity, mobility, and collaboration. You'll solve technical issues, liaise with internal teams, and present Google Workspace's value to executive audiences. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, sharing infrastructure modernization expertise, supporting bid responses, conducting proof-of-concept work, and guiding customers through application environment assessments. You'll recommend integration strategies and architectures for implementing solutions on Google Cloud. This role requires strong communication and presentation skills, and a deep understanding of cloud technologies and Google Workspace.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technical cloud ecosystems on enterprise productivity and related solutions (e.g., Messaging, Productivity, Identity Management, Endpoint Management).
  • Experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or in a customer/partner-facing role.
  • Understanding of productivity technologies and how they integrate with AI, Internet of Things, and Audio/Visual systems to deliver the next generation user experience.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present Google Workspace value to executive audiences and technology stakeholders in partner and customer organizations.
  • Ability to communicate, and foster and develop key relationships with new and existing customers and partners in the region.

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your experience and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastruction and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
