Fan Intelligence Analytics Intern, Marketing Data Analytics
Location: Redwood Shores, CA
We are looking for a student close to graduation to join the Fan Intelligence - Data & Analytics team as a Marketing Data Analytics Intern, reporting to a Lead Analyst.
As a Marketing Data Analyst Intern, you will take ownership of a key project aimed at analyzing and optimizing media spend, marketing performance, and player behavior within our Fan Intelligence ecosystem.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging data to provide actionable insights that drive marketing strategy and player engagement. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to develop your analytical skills, explore trends in media effectiveness, and contribute to shaping the future of fan engagement.
What you will do:
- Own and drive a project that will require you to:
- Extract, transform, and process data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Perform exploratory analysis on the data using different analytical and statistical methodologies.
- Leverage machine learning or predictive modeling to explore relationships between variables.
- Develop automated dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate insights that drive data-driven business decisions.
- Take initiative and become an expert on the subject matter, driving the project with minimal supervision and proactively seeking out solutions to challenges.
- Collaborate with other analytics and fan-oriented teams to help guide project goals, supplant learnings, and explore additional opportunities.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges, identify root causes, and propose innovative solutions.
- Communicate and present final findings to key stakeholders, leadership team, and the wider EA community via the intern fair.
- Provide ad-hoc support for any unplanned needs related to our operations.

Background and Technical skills
- Currently pursuing an advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge-of and practical experience with statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience applying quantitative methods to solve problems in a data-driven manner.
- Proficiency with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation
- Proficiency with R or Python for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong communication skills - regular project updates, communication with and across teams, and analytical “storytelling” - distilling quantitative insights into easy to digest and intuitive presentation form.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a globally spread organization – including team members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Experience with web scraping and data mining is a plus.
- Advanced statistics and computational skill is a plus - e.g. modeling, machine learning, programming.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.HOURLY PAY RANGES • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $19 - $29 USD Hourly
The pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
