Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and creative Data Scientist to join the Product Development team in Catalog Games. You will help shape the future of our games through deep data insights that unlock player behaviors and business opportunities. As part of a diverse and talented analytics community, you’ll support multiple teams in creating entertaining, data-driven experiences for millions of players. Working closely with game designers, producers, and other data scientists, you will define experiments, drive actionable insights, and continuously evolve how we understand and enhance our games.
Must Have
- Design, analyze, and present results from A/B tests to inform feature and game development.
- Proactively conduct data explorations and develop models that uncover new opportunities.
- Deliver clear and impactful visualizations and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Ensure data quality and accessibility to support informed decision-making across teams.
- Support the evolution of Catalog Games’ data science methodologies and tooling.
- Collaborate across games to share insights, tools, and learnings that benefit the broader portfolio.
- Systematically break down abstract problems into concrete analytical questions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for working with large-scale datasets.
- Skilled in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling.
- Deep understanding of statistical methodologies, including A/B testing and experimental design.
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., BigQuery, AWS, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Strong business insight: able to frame product questions into structured analyses.
- Effective communicator: present data stories clearly and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset: ability to work cross-functionally and guide decision-making.
Good to Have
- Background in behavioral psychology, game theory, or predictive modeling.
- Experience with in-game advertising or mobile game analytics.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), and experience in collaborative programming.
- Familiarity with additional languages such as Java or scripting for automation.
- Contributions to data science communities or internal capability-building initiatives.
