Job Description

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and motivated Desktop Mac Engineering Systems Engineer to join their Information Technology team. This pivotal role ensures the security, functionality, and compliance of their Apple infrastructure, managing a fleet of over 1000 macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices. The engineer will lead proactive patching, vulnerability management, collaborate on zero-touch deployment strategies, optimize MDM solutions using Apple Business Manager and Kandji, and automate tasks with scripting. The position requires strong technical skills in Apple environments and excellent communication.

Must Have:

Lead proactive patching and vulnerability management across Mac and iOS devices to meet company security SLAs.
Collaborate on designing and maintaining zero-touch deployment strategy.
Optimize Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, leveraging Apple Business Manager and Kandji.
Utilize scripting (Bash, Zsh, and/or Python) to automate repetitive tasks.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for macOS, providing advanced troubleshooting support.
Minimum 1-2 years as a Systems Engineer and 2-3 years as a Support Engineer.
Deep understanding and practical experience managing a large fleet (1000+ Macs) using a modern MDM solution.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Zsh, and/or Python).
Expert knowledge of macOS/iOS/iPadOS, Managed Apple IDs, and endpoint security.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and excellent written & oral communication in English and local languages.

At Iron Mountain, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Desktop Mac Engineering Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology team.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

As our Systems Engineer, you will:

Security and Vulnerability Management: Lead the proactive patching and vulnerability management across all Mac and iOS devices to meet company security Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Deployment and MDM: Collaborate on designing and maintaining the zero-touch deployment strategy and optimizing the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, leveraging your expertise with Apple Business Manager and Kandji.
Automation and Advanced Support: Utilize scripting (Bash, Zsh, and/or Python) to automate repetitive tasks and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for macOS, providing advanced troubleshooting support.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

Required Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years as a Systems Engineer and 2-3 years as a Support Engineer.
Large Fleet Experience: Deep understanding and practical experience managing a large fleet (1000+ Macs) using a modern MDM solution (e.g., Kandji, Jamf Pro, Workspace ONE).
Key Technical Skills: Strong scripting skills (Bash, Zsh, and/or Python) , and expert knowledge of macOS/iOS/iPadOS, Managed Apple IDs, and endpoint security.
Education/Communication: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and excellent written & oral communication in English and local languages.
