Job Description
Who We Are
At Entain, it’s your game. We’re a global leader in sports betting, gaming, and digital entertainment, powered by world-class technology and talented people across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. Our mission is to create exciting, safe, and responsible entertainment experiences, and our Technology teams play a critical role in making that happen.
As a Desktop Support Technician, you’ll be a key part of our IT Desktop Support team, helping ensure our people have the tools, systems, and support they need to perform at their best. You’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues, delivering reliable, friendly, and effective support in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people, and building a strong foundation in IT support while contributing to a collaborative and growing technology function.
Your Impact
Join Entain as a Desktop Support Technician and be at the frontline of our technology experience. You’ll provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across hardware, software, and basic network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to our business operations.
Working closely with local teams in Brisbane and our New Zealand-based support colleagues, you’ll take ownership of incidents and service requests - resolving issues where possible and escalating appropriately when needed. Your work will directly support productivity, security, and customer outcomes across the organisation.
You’ll also contribute to continual improvement by following best-practice IT service management processes and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
A Day in the Life
Based in our Bowen Hills office, you’ll enjoy a hybrid working model that balances hands-on, face-to-face support with flexible ways of working. No two days are the same, one moment you might be troubleshooting a Microsoft 365 issue, the next assisting a new starter with account access or resolving a hardware fault.
You’ll interact with a wide range of stakeholders, manage tickets through Jira Service Desk, and collaborate with other Technology teams to keep issues moving and users informed. Throughout it all, you’ll maintain ownership, communicate clearly, and ensure our people feel supported.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop support for end users across the business
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Support users in a Microsoft environment, including Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Manage incidents and service requests using Jira Service Desk, ensuring accurate updates and timely resolution
- Perform user administration tasks, including Active Directory and Azure AD basics
- Work closely with local Australian teams and NZ-based support teams to deliver seamless support
- Escalate issues to appropriate resolver groups while maintaining ownership and accountability
- Deliver a high standard of customer service through clear communication and proactive support
- Follow incident, change, and security processes to ensure compliance and service continuity
Your Strengths
- 1–3 years’ experience in a Desktop Support role
- Experience working in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Exposure to highly regulated environments (desirable)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Windows OS
- Microsoft 365
- Jira Service Desk or similar ticketing systems
- User account administration (AD / Azure AD fundamentals)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn
