Job Description

Destruction Technicians serve customers by accurately processing and destroying all materials delivered to the production facility. Responsibilities include emptying collected material, sorting by grade, performing emergency equipment repairs, cleaning facilities, maintaining security, and ensuring safe machine operations. The role involves physical tasks like lifting and operating machinery in a non-climate-controlled environment, requiring current experience in a production/warehousing environment and the ability to handle heavy items.
Must have:
  • Empty collected material from containers; cut open bags, dump payloads, empty roll-arounds sort material by grade; separate and discard rubbish
  • Perform emergency equipment repairs
  • Clean facility and containers
  • Maintain strict security of material and trucks
  • Ensure safe machine operations
  • Current experience Production/warehousing environment
  • Ability to lift heavy bags, push rolling carts and pull two- and four-wheeled containers
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not temperature controlled.
Good to have:
  • Bobcat/Forklift experience is preferred

Destruction Technician

Destruction Technicians serve customers by accurately processing and destroying all materials delivered to the production facility.

Pay: $20.00 Per hour

Schedule: 11:00am- 7:30PM (flexibility required as hours may adjust)

Responsibilities:

  • Empty collected material from containers; cut open bags, dump payloads, empty roll-arounds sort material by grade; separate and discard rubbish
  • Perform emergency equipment repairs
  • Clean facility and containers
  • Maintain strict security of material and trucks
  • Ensure safe machine operations
  • It’s a 8-hour shift with about five hours spent on forklift or performing “Bobcat” operations. The DT spends about 7 hours standing while operating machinery or moving/lifting boxes and pulling/tipping two- and four-wheeled bins weighing 25 to 225 pounds (average bin weight is 170 pounds). The DT works in an atmosphere that is not climate controlled.

Qualifications:

  • Current experience Production/warehousing environment
  • Ability to lift heavy bags, push rolling carts and pull two- and four-wheeled containers
  • Bobcat/Forklift experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not temperature controlled.
