Job Summary

This role involves advanced software development and maintenance for fixed income indices, specifically PCBond and FTSE Russell. The developer will design and build next-generation systems and custom tools, focusing on improving efficiency and quality through analytics and fixed income methodology. Must Have

  • Prior experience with Excel VBA.
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake.

  • Knowledge/experience with fixed income and equities market data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced software development and maintenance functions for PCBond and FTSE Russell Fixed Income Indices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop software for the next generation of FTSE Russell Canada Fixed Income System and Custom Index Tools
  • Maintain and develop index production and analytics systems to improve efficiency and quality; apply analytics skill and fixed income knowledge to implement fixed income analytics and fixed income index calculation methodology.

This position requires and rewards candidates with strong personal initiative, work ethic, and the ability to develop expertise in both fixed income markets and the technology needed to deliver analytics capabilities for these markets.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on C++ Development
  • Great experience in RESTful API and micro services.
  • Prior experience with Excel VBA is a big plus
  • Prior experience with relational and/or non-relational database such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake is a big plus
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment, bash shell scripting, awk/sed
  • Experience with cloud technology is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with fixed income and equities market data is a plus.

Compensation Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation. The anticipated range of compensation for this position is CAD 125,000 – CAD 141,200. The range includes the expected base salary, variable compensation, and allowances for the role. Target Annual Incentive Plan/”bonus plan” rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
