Job Summary
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will support the development and execution of processes related to Agile methodology best practices. You will facilitate meetings, remove impediments, enhance collaboration, and ensure teams deliver results. Responsibilities include working with Product Owners to groom backlogs, aiding in commitment determination, maintaining process documentation, tracking velocity, and participating in team standards development.
Must Have
- Facilitate and organize daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other activities as needed
- Prevent or remove impediments and distractions that interfere with the ability of the development team to deliver on their goals
- Work with Product Owner and Business Analyst to groom and prioritize backlog for upcoming releases and iterations
- Aid delivery team with determining suitable commitments for user stories, defects, and tasking
- Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
- Maintain process documentation
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
- Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
- Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
- Knowledge about different tools and backlog management systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Risk identification and mitigation for an individual team as well as a group
- Minimum 3-4 years as a Scrum Master or agile coach
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g.: numerous Burn down techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Experience using Devops/Jira to manage Scrum activities

Job Qualifications Education
- BS or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 6-9 yrs. industrial experience out of which min. 3 yrs. as a Scrum master or agile coach.
- Preferred First level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I) Experience (SAFe)
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
