Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our team, focusing on building and maintaining a highly available platform for mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems. This role involves leveraging virtualization, advanced automation, and a robust technology stack to deliver a seamless, scalable, and self-service infrastructure. The team is responsible for end-to-end solution development, including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and 24/7 maintenance. We are looking for individuals passionate about creating technology that serves as a lifeline for first responders.
Must have:
  • Understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
  • Understanding of containerization (e.g. Docker).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.Bash, Python, Ruby).
  • Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and application deployments (e.g.Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of networking concepts and principles and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Open to learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
  • Hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.
  • Experience with large enterprise IT systems.
  • Proven experience in ‘automate everything’ organizations.
  • Experience in working with different time zones (fluent English).
Good to have:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e,g PROXMOX, VMware ESXi, KVM).
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
  • Knowledge of log management and analytics tools (e.g.Elastic Stack, Prometheus).
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, K8s).

Job Description

We are currently looking for a DevOps/ Platform Engineer, to extend our team dedicated to creating and maintaining our highly available platform to support mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems. By leveraging virtualization, advanced automation, and a robust stack of technologies, we aim to deliver a seamless, scalable, and self-service infrastructure solution that accelerates business innovation. Teams are responsible for end-to-end solution development including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and maintenance in a 24/7 support model.

We are looking at different types of individuals. If you have experience in Platform Architect, Automation Engineer, Kubernetes Specialist, Elastic Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer and Network Security Engineer and you feel like creating technology that serves as a lifeline for first responders is a noble and vital endeavor, you are ready to answer the call.

Basic Requirements

Technical skills - must have:

  • Understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
