Must Have
- Strong understanding of delivering digital extensions to traditional publications and medical meetings outputs
- Strong understanding of contemporary pharma marketing practices, omnichannel, MCQs
- Ability to apply design thinking and agile methods to digital solution conception and development
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to quickly understand customer marketing landscapes and therapy specific communications challenges
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies
- Self-starting, auto-didacting and able to remain up to date on digital comms in pharma medical marketing
- Understanding of commercial factors in pricing and managing projects in healthcare communications
- Demonstrable experience in a Medical Communications agency setting, preferably med affairs focused
- Extensive client interaction experience around the conception and delivery of digital projects
- Ability to integrate digital strategies profitably into traditional workflows

The Digital Solutions Lead is responsible for driving the development and implementation of innovative digital strategies and solutions that enhance client engagement and optimize the delivery of medical communications and education. This client facing role bridges technology and healthcare communication, ensuring that digital platforms, tools, and experiences align with scientific accuracy, compliance standards, and client objectives. The purpose is to transform complex medical content into impactful, user-friendly digital experiences that support healthcare professional education, awareness, and stakeholder engagement across multiple channels. This role proactively drives and supports teams across our global and local market offices to promote digital medical communications innovation within our client accounts to unlock new revenue streams.
These solutions will complement and enhance our existing offerings in advancing client communication goals.
Job Role
- Provide tactical and strategic insights on specific digital deliverables that will meet customer challenges, including recommendations for timelines and budgets for these solutions.
- Present compelling digital solutions to customer communication and engagement challenges in collaboration with colleagues in the scientific and client services teams during multistakeholder client pitches
- Educate internally and externally on contemporary digital marketing techniques such as omni-channel and the value of these concepts to medical communications and medical education, including recommendations for timelines and budgets for these solutions.
- Collaborate with delivery team members across scientific, client, technical services and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery on sold projects.
- Curate and evolve our digital capability promotional materials to reflect our digital competencies, including recommendations for timelines and budgets for these solutions.
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, and general managers across our international teams.
- Proactively collate and share digital innovation success stories being developed by dozens of stakeholders across the global business
- Help to build digital specific plans as part of wider account planning activities that drive incremental revenue growth within organic accounts based on digital solutions, including recommendations for timelines and budgets for these solutions and how these would be delivered – a roadmap.
- Adherence to timesheets and commercial tracking process
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
Essential
- Strong understanding of delivering digital extensions to traditional publications and medical meetings outputs.
- Strong understanding of contemporary pharma marketing practices, omnichannel, MCQs etc. and how to develop ideas and solutions that integrate into those customer and 3rd party owned environments.
- Ability to apply design thinking and agile methods to digital solution conception and development.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Be able to quickly understand customer marketing landscapes, and therapy specific communications challenges.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies while ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Self-starting, auto-didacting and able to remain up to date on the continually evolving world of digital comms in pharma medical marketing.
- Understanding of the commercial factors in pricing and managing projects in healthcare communications
- Demonstrable experience in a Medical Communications agency setting, preferably med affairs focused. A working knowledge of Medical Education practices is also desirable.
