Job Summary

As an HR Advisor Service Delivery at Springer Nature in Berlin, you will be a key support for administrative HR processes. You will manage the operational day-to-day HR tasks, serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries, supporting HR Managers across the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and preparing essential employment documents. You will also contribute to improving internal HR workflows and participate in cross-departmental projects, ensuring efficient and professional HR service delivery.

Must Have

  • Be the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries
  • Support HR Managers with all personnel processes (onboarding, offboarding, parental leave, transfers)
  • Create employment contracts, references, and other legal HR documents
  • Ensure accurate data entry and management in HR tools like Workday
  • Actively contribute to improving internal HR workflows
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects

Good to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or commercial training with HR specialist qualification
  • Extensive experience in operational HR, preferably in an international setting
  • Solid knowledge of labor law
  • Proficiency with HR tools (Workday, SAP HR)
  • Service-oriented, proactive, structured, and solution-oriented work style
  • Strong communication skills with international colleagues
  • Resilience and team player, effective in a dynamic corporate environment
  • Fluent in both English and German

From February 2026, we are looking for an HR Advisor (m/f/d) as a temporary parental leave replacement in part-time (34 h/week).

For our agile HR team in Berlin, we are looking for you as active support in our administrative processes!

As part of our team, you will take on the operational day-to-day business with the utmost care and professionalism and at the same time work closely with the HR Managers (m/f/d). You can expect varied and independent activities, such as:

  • Contact person for all HR concerns of employees: You are the first point of contact for questions in personnel matters. You support and advise all employees in your area of responsibility.
  • Support for HR Managers in all personnel processes: From conducting the onboarding of new employees to offboarding, organizing parental leave and managing transfers – you play a central role in the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Creation of employment contracts, references and other employment law documents: You take care of the creation of these documents and ensure that all data is correctly recorded and managed in the HR tool Workday.
  • Active involvement in internal processes and participation in cross-departmental projects: You identify potential for improvement in the department and implement ideas to increase the efficiency of HR processes, while working closely with other departments to promote cross-team collaboration.

Your Profile:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or have completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by further training as a HR specialist (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
  • With your extensive experience in operational HR work, preferably in an international environment, you are ideally equipped to enrich our team.
  • You have solid knowledge of labor law.
  • Working with HR tools such as Workday, SAP HR or similar systems is routine for you, and you are not afraid to familiarize yourself with new systems and discover their functions.
  • Your professional personality convinces with service orientation, initiative as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Communicating with international colleagues brings you great joy and you can convincingly represent their needs to various stakeholders.
  • Your resilience and team spirit are shown not only in communication with colleagues, but also in your ability to work effectively in a dynamic corporate environment, both in English and German.
