Job Summary
The Villa Gallici, a 5-star hotel-restaurant and member of the Relais & Châteaux collection, is seeking a Dining Room Assistant (Commis de Salle) to join its team in Aix-en-Provence. The role involves supporting the restaurant manager, ensuring the cleanliness and proper setup of the dining room, clearing tables, cleaning cutlery and glasses, assisting with restaurant setup, preparing service items, relaying information between the kitchen and dining room, and performing end-of-service duties. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, meticulous, dynamic, and passionate about hospitality, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
Must Have
- Take instructions from the manager upon arrival
- Prioritize clearing the dining room
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the restaurant dining room throughout service
- Clean cutlery and glasses
- Support restaurant setup
- Prepare napkins, 'run' trays, and bread baskets
- Request information from the kitchen regarding daily appetizers, amuse-bouches, dishes, and desserts
- Serve on the 'run' and act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room
- At the end of service: clear and clean the dining room, clean glasses and cutlery, empty trash
- Previous experience in restaurant service
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Sense of organization, dynamism, and team spirit

- Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is an asset

Job Description
Being a dining room assistant at Villa Gallici: Reporting to our restaurant manager,
- Taking instructions from the manager upon arrival

Additional Information
Our collaboration:
- Contract type: Seasonal fixed-term contract (CDD saisonnier) of 39 hours (from May 1st to October 31st, 2026)
- Compensation: 1,850 € net per month
- Hours: Split shifts or afternoon shifts
- Days off: Two consecutive days per week
- Accommodation: Not provided
