Job Description

The Director, Business Systems at LGI Healthcare Solutions is a strategic leader overseeing the evolution and management of critical information systems for company performance and growth. This role involves defining and implementing the technological roadmap, managing existing systems, and deploying new solutions. The Director provides recommendations to optimize operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and improve data-driven decision-making. Must have:
  • Define and manage business systems technological roadmap.
  • Lead D365 CRM evolution and other business system implementations.
  • Optimize and evolve global business systems (CRM, ERP, BI).
  • Improve operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Translate business needs into clear system requirements.
  • Supervise and participate in system configuration.
  • Design and deliver user training and documentation.

What will your days at LGI Healthcare Solutions look like?

The Director, Business Systems is a strategic leader responsible for the evolution and management of information systems essential to the company's performance and growth. This key role includes defining and implementing the technological roadmap for business systems, managing existing systems, as well as identifying, evaluating, and deploying new solutions. The Director, Business Systems formulates informed recommendations to optimize operational efficiency, enrich the customer experience, and improve data-driven decision-making. As an agent of change, they inspire their team and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve the organization's strategic objectives.

How will your contributions be valued?

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Roadmap Management: Define and communicate the evolution of business systems in alignment with company objectives. Develop and manage the roadmap for projects and system improvement initiatives.
  • Project Management and Implementation: Lead the evolution of D365 CRM, from planning to deployment and adoption, ensuring alignment with user needs and strategic objectives. Manage other business system implementation and improvement projects (ERP, BI, etc.).
  • System Optimization and Evolution: Oversee the continuous improvement and evolution of global business systems (CRM, ERP, BI, and others), actively supporting commercial functions (marketing, sales, customer service, finance, accounting, operations, etc.). Identify and evaluate new technologies and solutions to optimize processes.
  • Operational Efficiency and Business Intelligence: Implement best practices and technological solutions to improve operational efficiency, ensure system performance and reliability, and provide relevant and timely access to data (BI, analytics) to support growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Needs Translation and System Configuration: Collaborate closely with business teams to understand and translate their needs into clear and achievable system requirements. Supervise and participate in system configuration, working effectively with implementation partners to deliver expected functionalities.
  • Training, Adoption, and Change Management: Design and facilitate testing and training workshops for users. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and effective training materials to promote end-user adoption, improve productivity, and foster autonomy. Implement change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition when introducing new systems or updates.
  • System Support and Maintenance: Provide quality daily support for users of CRM, ERP, and other critical company systems, effectively mobilizing internal resources and external partners to resolve issues and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with external suppliers and technology solution partners (integrators, consultants, etc.), ensuring service quality and compliance with agreements.
  • Personnel Management and Team Leadership:
  • Team Engagement and Development: Inspire and maintain a high level of team engagement through mentoring, offering development opportunities (task rotation, stimulating projects), and balanced workload management.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication: Actively foster and improve collaboration with cross-functional teams, both within the IT department and with other company departments. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including management.
  • Performance and Objective Management: Establish clear and measurable performance objectives for team members, ensure regular follow-up, provide constructive feedback, and support their success in alignment with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Coaching and Professional Growth: Coach and guide team members in their professional and personal development, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement and offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related relevant field. A master's degree is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in team management, with demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Minimum of 10 years of significant experience in the implementation, optimization, and management of complex business systems (CRM, ERP, BI, etc.). In-depth experience with Microsoft business solutions is a major asset (e.g., CRM, ERP).
  • Solid experience in IT project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, end-users, and senior management. Strong ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
  • Significant experience in managing relationships with external partners and technology solution providers.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in business system management, enterprise architecture, and information security.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions.
  • Transformational leadership with an ability to inspire change and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • This position requires bilingualism as the candidate will be required to work with documentation in French and English, and to communicate, orally and in writing, with French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
