As the Director, Cultural Activation, you will leverage data, insights, and cultural trends to spearhead transformational creativity and drive brand awareness, favorability, and buzz in service of business growth. This role represents the evolution of modern marketing, where technology and content converge to create maximum consumer relevancy and impact. You will uniquely bridge cultural storytelling with cutting-edge content technology, leading campaign planning, social media strategy, and pioneering next-generation content creation and optimization. The role is responsible for conceptualizing and delivering culture-first projects that build brand love within the zeitgeist while leveraging technology to amplify reach and engagement.

As the Director, Cultural Activation, you will leverage data, insights, and cultural trends to spearhead transformational creativity and drive brand awareness, favorability, and buzz in service of business growth. This role represents the evolution of modern marketing, where technology and content converge to create maximum consumer relevancy and impact. This role drives content and campaign marketing strategy to increase awareness and engagement with customers.

While no two days are the same, you will uniquely bridges cultural storytelling with cutting-edge content technology, leading campaign planning, social media strategy, and pioneering the next generation content creation and optimization. The role is responsible for conceptualizing and delivering culture-first projects that build brand love within the zeitgeist while leveraging technology to amplify reach and engagement. You will bring expertise in developing compelling, integrated consumer campaigns, deep familiarity with mining insights to inform marketing decisions, and fluency in both digital platform trends and emerging content technologies that drive consumer culture. Your areas of focus will include Cultural Leadership & Brand Vision, Campaign & Content Strategy Leadership, Social Media & Influencer Oversight, and Performance & Team Management.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • You have 10+ years of relevant marketing experience with proven track record in integrated marketing campaigns
  • You have experience in social media and influencer strategy, content strategy, brand partnerships, and experiential marketing
  • You have a deep understanding of both brand and performance marketing concepts
  • You have expertise in writing strategic briefs and collaborating with creative teams
  • You have knowledge of emerging marketing content technologies
  • You have experience using data-driven marketing mentality with consistent use of analytics, insights, and metrics to deliver measurable impact
  • You have experience with marketing performance optimization via data
  • You understanding of how emerging technologies impact content strategy
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships
  • You have strong analytical and project leadership experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • You have a strong understanding of current and future consumer behavior
  • You have the ability to identify and capitalize on cultural moments and trends
  • You have experience measuring brand campaign impact and demonstrating business results
  • You have experience managing a budget end-to-end with precision
  • You have experience leading and mentoring a team with a growth mindset

Work Arrangement

considers candidates located near a office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
