Job Description

Sabre, a global travel technology company, seeks a passionate and experienced Product Director for its Agency Experience team. This role involves owning the product strategy, roadmap, commercial outcomes, and lifecycle for the Automation suite of products, which empower travel agents. The director will leverage new technologies, including AI/ML, and Sabre's APIs to enhance booking, servicing, and automation tools. Collaboration with engineering, UX, marketing, and sales is key to building critical products that support partners' businesses. The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with tactical planning, communicates complex ideas clearly, and validates assertions through analytics.
Must have:
  • Craft and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple product lines in alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers in a collaborative, results driven environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, Strategy and Sales to define product requirements and execute on go to market initiatives.
  • Own the product budget and billing with a strong understanding of total cost of ownership and return on investment.
  • Continuously assess customer needs and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to improve the product offering.
  • Engage with customers directly and through industry events to validate product value proposition.
  • Communicate the strategy and performance of the product line to Sabre stakeholders.

  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML

Sabre’s Agency Experience team is responsible for the proprietary travel booking, servicing and automation tools that Sabre Travel Agencies use to serve their traveler customers. As the needs of our Travel Agency community evolve we see tremendous opportunity in leveraging new technologies, AI/ML and Sabre’s market leading travel API’s to empower Agents to better serve their traveler clients. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Director who will own the product strategy, roadmap, commercial outcomes and product lifecycle of our Automation suite of products. You will work closely with engineering, user experience, research, marketing and sales to build and maintain the critical Automation products our partners rely on to power their business.

The successful Product Director will balance strategic thinking with tactical planning, communicate complex ideas in simple terms, validate assertions through analytics, bring a winning attitude and take work seriously but not themselves.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple product lines in alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers in a collaborative, results driven environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, Strategy and Sales to define product requirements and execute on go to market initiatives.
  • Own the product budget and billing with a strong understanding of total cost of ownership and return on investment.
  • Continuously assess customer needs and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to improve the product offering. Engage with customers directly and through industry events to validate product value proposition.

Skills and Preferred Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in product management with previous experience in a leadership role
  • Proven record of delivering successful consumer grade products
  • Strong experience in product lifecycle management and product pricing
  • Strong experience in User Interface design and Analytics
  • Capable of strategic thinking with a strong business acumen
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Previous experience in Travel and/or Workflow Automation preferred
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML is highly desirable
