AlphaSense is seeking an experienced and execution-oriented Director of Treasury to build and lead its treasury function during a critical growth phase. This role is central to safeguarding liquidity, establishing financial controls, and preparing for public company readiness. The ideal candidate is hands-on, thrives in a dynamic, resource-constrained environment, and can balance cost discipline with strategic foresight. Key responsibilities include developing global cash and liquidity strategies, building cash forecasting, optimizing working capital, managing bank relationships, and ensuring debt and SOX compliance.
Must have:
  • Lead the development and execution of global cash and liquidity strategies
  • Build and maintain a short- and long-term cash forecasting framework
  • Develop regular internal and external Treasury reporting
  • Optimize working capital and manage global bank structures
  • Develop cash and investment policies and controls
  • Lead relationships with banks and lenders
  • Manage debt compliance
  • Assess FX risk exposure in global operations
  • Support intercompany funding decisions and tax-aligned global cash movements
  • Partner with Legal, Tax, and Accounting on intercompany, repatriation, and compliance
  • Prepare the function for SOX compliance and public company reporting
  • 8–12+ years of progressive treasury and banking experience, including leadership roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related

About the Team:

The Finance team is responsible for efficiently driving the creation of enterprise value by supporting capital allocation decisions across the business. We exist to help the company make intelligent, data-driven decisions through financial analysis; scenario modeling; tracking, interpreting and disseminating key performance indicators; and by serving as a critical thought partner to senior leadership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development and execution of global cash and liquidity strategies
  • Build and maintain a short- and long-term cash forecasting framework
  • Develop regular internal and external Treasury reporting
  • Optimize working capital and manage global bank structures
  • Develop cash and investment policies and controls
  • Lead relationships with banks and lenders
  • Manage debt compliance
  • Assess FX risk exposure in global operations
  • Support intercompany funding decisions and tax-aligned global cash movements
  • Partner with Legal, Tax, and Accounting on intercompany, repatriation, and compliance

Who You Are:

  • 8–12+ years of progressive treasury and banking experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Adept with NetSuite, Excel-based modeling, and bank portal systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; MBA or CTP certification preferred
  • SaaS or technology company experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in high-growth or pre-IPO environments
  • Experience with TMS or treasury automation tools (Kyriba, GTreasury, etc.) is a plus

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

Base Compensation Range

$187,000 - $228,000 USD
