Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you will design and optimize display and semiconductor manufacturing processes, solving critical customer challenges. This role involves working with advanced technologies, shaping the evolution of process engineering within the business and the semiconductor industry. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with leading minds in R&D, tackling complex and interesting challenges daily.
Must have:
  • Lead practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line
  • Lead research, development, and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line
  • Engage with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues to address customer High Value Problems (HVP)
  • Lead alpha engineering program regarding all process technology-related issues
  • Responsible for alpha and beta product release for business unit's product line
  • Participate in strategic planning to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan
  • Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers

What You’ll Do

As a Process Engineer, you'll play a critical role in solving our customers’ biggest challenges by designing and optimizing display and semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will work on some of the most advanced and challenging technologies in the world, shaping the way process engineering evolves for our business and the semiconductor industry. Process Engineers at Applied enjoy a diverse and exciting work experience—no two days are the same and the challenges are complex and interesting. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line
  • Lead research, development, and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line
  • Engage with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues to address customer High Value Problems (HVP)
  • Lead alpha engineering program regarding all process technology-related issues
  • Responsible for alpha and beta product release for business unit's product line
  • Participate in strategic planning to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan
  • Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 10-15 years of related experience
  • Demonstrate broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques and/or technologies within own field
  • Experience leading highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives
  • Familiar with transistor fabrication, High K Metal Gate, Dipoles, GAA and CFET.
  • Familiar with ALD technology, Precursor selection and reaction mechanisms

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
