Job Description

This role is for a Director, Talent Development and Employee Experience, reporting to the VP of HR. The position involves defining and promoting organizational culture, coordinating succession planning, and developing training paths. Key responsibilities include managing learning platforms, coaching managers for remote teams, and overseeing recognition and change management programs. The role also focuses on enhancing employee engagement, structuring new employee integration, and collaborating with HR business partners to develop valuable tools. The ideal candidate will implement impact measures and stay updated on innovative trends in learning strategy, employee experience, leadership development, and organizational transformation.
Must have:
  • Contribute to defining and promoting organizational culture by promoting organizational values, mission, and vision.
  • Coordinate the annual succession planning and management exercise and develop a high-potential development program.
  • Identify competency profiles for different management levels or job profiles and develop training paths.
  • Support career development for all employees by offering self-service learning tools.
  • Manage the implementation of the learning platform (LMS 360 learning) and ensure its deployment.
  • Act as a coach for managers to help them mobilize their multi-site and remote teams.
  • Manage and evolve the recognition program based on values and strategic priorities.
  • Act as a change management expert in transformation projects and supervise the change management advisor.
  • Implement a program promoting employee involvement in process improvement.
  • Manage engagement surveys and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Coordinate annual performance evaluations and adapt evaluation criteria with HR business partners.
  • Organize and structure the integration program for all organizational levels with the talent acquisition team.
  • Collaborate closely with HR business partners to develop tools and approaches that create value.
  • Implement impact measures to evaluate deployed initiatives.
  • Perform external benchmarking and stay abreast of innovative trends in learning strategy, employee experience, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

Job Description

The chosen person will report directly to the Vice-President of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining and promoting the organizational culture by promoting organizational values, mission, and vision;
  • Coordinate the annual succession identification and management exercise and develop a high-potential development program;
  • Identify competency profiles for different management levels or job profiles and develop training paths to ensure their development according to strategic priorities;
  • Support the career development of all employees by offering self-service learning tools;
  • Manage the implementation of the learning platform (LMS 360 learning) and ensure its deployment throughout the organization;
  • Act as a coach for managers to help them mobilize their multi-site and remote teams;
  • Manage the recognition program and evolve it based on our values and strategic priorities;
  • Act as a change management expert during transformation projects and supervise the change management advisor;
  • Implement a program promoting employee involvement in improving our processes.
  • Manage engagement surveys and develop action plans to address areas for improvement;
  • In collaboration with HR business partners, coordinate the annual performance evaluation exercise and adapt evaluation criteria according to strategic needs;
  • In collaboration with the talent acquisition team, organize and structure the integration program for all levels of the organization to provide a distinctive experience for new employees;
  • Collaborate closely with HR business partners to develop tools and approaches that create value in their support for managers;
  • Implement impact measures to evaluate initiatives deployed in the organization;
  • Perform external benchmarking and stay abreast of innovative trends in learning strategy, employee experience, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (French/English advanced level) required due to the organization's national activities and the need for effective communication between different regions;
  • You have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in organizational development (OD);
  • You hold a degree in human resources or a relevant field of study (Master's in OD is an asset);
  • You are comfortable with a self-organized management mode that requires your collaboration, autonomy, adaptability, and tolerance for ambiguity;
  • You have conceptual thinking, demonstrate creativity, and have a tendency towards experimentation;
  • You know how to show benevolence, inspire trust, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders;
  • You are able to take charge of a project, ensure delivery, and implement monitoring and performance indicators;
  • You are motivated by seeking opportunities, striving for improvement, and having an impact through your interventions.
