The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Designer for employment in the Mississauga office. This full-time position involves designing traffic signals and illumination, preparing layouts, wiring diagrams, electrical details, performing photometric analysis and voltage drop calculations, and preparing contract documents. Site visits and contract administration are also part of the responsibilities.
Must have:

Job Description

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Designer for employment in the Mississauga office.

This will be a full-time position expected to begin as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Design of traffic signals and illumination for various clients
  • Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts
  • Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details
  • Photometric analysis of lighting systems
  • Voltage drop calculations
  • Preparation of contract documents and specifications
  • Site visits and contract administration

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various municipal and MTO lighting and traffic signal design standards
  • Knowledge of MTO Contract Preparation System (CPS)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of lighting and traffic signal design
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoLUX and Microsoft Office
