This role involves performing software modifications, tracking maintenance activities, conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, overseeing simulator preparation for regulatory evaluations, and supporting customers to resolve availability issues. Simulation Technician

Your Role:

  • Perform software modifications and subsequent tests, assisting the engineering team with design changes and software enhancements.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are consistently tracked in our maintenance management system.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight activities and checks, including visual alignment and evaluating Qualification Test Guide (QTG) results.
  • Oversee the preparation of simulators for regulatory evaluations.
  • Support our customers directly to identify and resolve issues affecting availability.
  • Manage logistics, including parts received, repairs, and testing & validation.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in electrical, avionic, or computer systems engineering roles.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent level of training/qualifications in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with simulators or simulator systems (maintenance, fault finding, defect resolution) is beneficial but not essential.

Shift Pattern:

  • 11-week roster with shifts that include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Shifts are planned months in advance.
