Job Summary

The Electronic Assembler III performs manufacturing tasks according to documentation and allocated time, using available resources and inspecting their own work. Responsibilities include assembling, wiring, and installing components from instructions, identifying and selecting parts, utilizing tools like soldering irons, and interfacing with PCs for job activities. The role requires understanding engineering drawings, revision nomenclature, and following manufacturing assembly instructions.

Must Have

  • Perform manufacturing tasks in accordance with manufacturing documentation and allocated time
  • Assemble, wire, and install a wide variety of components from instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes
  • Identify and select components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units
  • Utilize a wide range of tools including soldering iron
  • Interface with PC to record job activities
  • Read and understand Engineering drawings and engineering revision nomenclature
  • Read and follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and MAI
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic mechanical assembly and/or cabling and harnessing
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions

Position Summary

The Electronics Assembler III is in charge of performing, within his / her area of technological specification, tasks in the manufacturing process in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and the time allocated, using the resources available (including conventional and/or digital machine tools) and inspects his / her own work. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Works from assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units
  • Utilizes a wide range of tools including soldering iron
  • Interfaces with PC to record job activities
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and understand engineering revision nomenclature
  • Know how to read and follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and MAI (manufacturing assembly instructions)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or one-year certificate from college/technical school or two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic mechanical assembly and/or cabling and harnessing
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent Team player with proven ability to accomplish goals through collaboration
  • Flexible with jobs that can assist in other areas
