This student position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to next-generation vehicles, smart homes, and industrial facilities. The role involves working with the ROM team to build embedded software that kickstarts systems, sets up hardware, and ensures security. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, verifying firmware, performing embedded software testing, and developing automated test scenarios. You will collaborate with international teams and contribute to real-world embedded software development.
Must have:
  • Analysis of system-level functional and architectural requirements
  • Verification of firmware implementation against hardware and security specifications
  • Embedded software testing and root-cause analysis
  • Design and development of automated test scenarios and validation pipelines
  • Structured reporting of test results and coverage metrics
  • Close collaboration with international teams across hardware, validation, and security domains
Good to have:
  • Python, ideally using Pytest for test automation
  • Tools like Git for version control and JIRA for task tracking
  • CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Working in Linux environments
  • Target platforms like FPGA modules

The ROM team build the first code that runs on a microcontroller - ROM-embedded software that kickstarts the system, sets up the hardware, and locks down security. It’s lean, fast, and built to last. We collaborate closely with hardware, validation, and security teams to ensure everything works seamlessly from power-on to production.

🔍 Responsibilities – What We Do

  • Analysis of system-level functional and architectural requirements

💻 Technical Knowledge – What You Bring

We expect you to have:

  • Basic understanding of software development, testing, or validation
  • Familiarity with C programming, especially in the context of embedded systems

It’s a big plus if you’ve had exposure to:

  • Python, ideally using Pytest for test automation
  • Tools like Git for version control and JIRA for task tracking
  • CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Working in Linux environments
  • Target platforms like FPGA modules
