Job Description

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Emulation Lead Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in DSP IP emulation for high-performance DSP cores. This role involves working in emulation and silicon environments, utilizing platforms like FPGA Prototyping, Veloce, and Palladium, and tools for synthesis, place and route, and clocking. Responsibilities include understanding processor functionality, debugging complex issues, and validating digital circuits. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C, C++, Perl, Python, TCL, and a solid background in digital design, RTL, and processor architecture for performance verification and analysis.

Good To Have:

Prior experience in performance correlation of Processor subsystems (ARM/DSP) is preferred

Must Have:

6-10 years of experience in Emulation of complex Qualcomm propriety DSP IP
DSP design team is responsible for delivering high-performance DSP cores
Work in emulation and silicon environments
Prior experience with Emulation Platforms (FPGA Prototyping, Veloce, Palladium)
Familiarity with emulation tools (Synthesis, Place and Route, Constraints, Clocking) and System Debug (Waveform generation and Content Debug support)
Understand processor functionality (CPU/DSP Core)
Excellent debugging abilities to resolve complex issues
Validation and debugging of digital circuits
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and TCL
6-10 years of experience in processor/ASIC performance verification
Experience in micro-architecture validation for modern high-performance, low power processors
Experience in writing tests and building infrastructure that tests performance of modern processors
Experience in application performance analysis
Programming/Scripting Skills — C, C++, Perl, Python, Shell, Make file TCI
Solid background and understanding of Digital Design, RTL design, improving model performance and Processor Architecture
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and debug skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
