Job Description

The Central Engineering – Optical PHY (CE-AMS-OPHY) team designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure. As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer, you will develop advanced CMOS transceiver and SERDES products. Responsibilities include interpreting circuit specifications, designing and implementing high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits (PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, etc.), performing detailed simulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in design reviews.
Must have:
  • Interpret and understand circuit specifications and system-level requirements.
  • Design and implement high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits, including PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, voltage regulators, amplifiers, transmitters (TX), receivers (RX), and clock/data recovery (CDR) circuits.
  • Perform detailed circuit-level simulations and design verification using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including digital design, layout, and validation.
  • Participate in design reviews, maintaining thorough documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of design methodologies and flows.
  • BEng/MSc/PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Understanding of analog circuit fundamental and semiconductor device physics.
  • Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Python.
  • Strong team-player with solid communication skills.

As a member of a dynamic CE-AMS-OPHY team, the candidate will be responsible for designing circuits used for high-speed optical transceivers. The member will have an opportunity to work in deep submicron process and collaborate with the team on next-gen high-speed optical transceivers.

What You Can Expect

As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of advanced CMOS transceiver and SERDES products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and understanding circuit specifications and system-level requirements.
  • Designing and implementing high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits, including PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, voltage regulators, amplifiers, transmitters (TX), receivers (RX), and clock/data recovery (CDR) circuits.
  • Performing detailed circuit-level simulations and design verification using industry-standard EDA tools to ensure functionality, performance, and robustness.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including digital design, layout, and validation—to ensure seamless integration and successful tape-out.
  • Participating in design reviews, maintaining thorough documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of design methodologies and flows.

What We're Looking For

  • BEng/MSc/PhD student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Understanding of analog circuit fundamental and semiconductor device physics
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, curious, and hungry-to-learn
  • Strong knowledge on IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Python, etc.
  • Strong team-player with solid communication skills
