Job Description

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces. This position is for software design, development of Bluetooth Firmware for Qualcomm Bluetooth devices. Candidate will be actively involved in development of new firmware for Bluetooth latest specification and futuristic products for Mobiles, Wearables, IoE and Automotive markets. Candidate will be actively involved in supporting the existing firmware through feature additions, enhancements and maintenance.

Good To Have:

Good understanding of any networking protocol stacks.
Familiarity with mobile development.
Understanding of Bluetooth protocol stack.

Must Have:

Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions.
Design and develop Bluetooth Firmware for Qualcomm Bluetooth devices.
Develop new firmware for Bluetooth latest specification and futuristic products for Mobiles, Wearables, IoE and Automotive markets.
Support existing firmware through feature additions, enhancements and maintenance.
Work closely with systems team and cross functional teams to deliver quality software.
Design and develop software on various platforms for Qualcomm internal chipsets.
Work with other teams to determine and document requirements and drive design.
Resolve issues as reported by internal test teams as well as customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

3-6 years experience with Programming Language such as C/ C++ etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience and proficiency in C programming (3-6 years) for embedded platforms required

Good understanding of any networking protocol stacks is highly desired and familiarity with mobile development is an additional plus

Understanding of Bluetooth protocol stack is an additional plus

Ability to work in fast paced and changing environment

Strong experience working in real time operating systems for 1+ years
