Job Description

The Engineering IT Manager will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing software development processes, workflows, and methodologies, leveraging data analytics and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements, drive innovation, and establish robust configuration management procedures. The manager will also provide guidance on SDLC activities, promote agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, and lead process optimization initiatives using tools such as Kaizen and Poka-Yoke, ensuring alignment with automotive product development standards and generating key performance reports.

  • Apply knowledge of automotive product development processes (DPRTS, GES).
  • Promote the adoption of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Lead the implementation of process optimization initiatives (Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke).
  • Develop and maintain documentation for software development processes.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, Tableau, and Power BI.

Job Details

Major Accountabilities:

  • Analyze software development processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, leveraging data analytics and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements, optimizing software development workflows to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive innovations and continuous improvement initiatives within the software development organization, fostering a culture of innovation and embracing new methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Define and implement configuration management processes and procedures for software development artifacts, including source code, documentation, and build configurations.
  • Define and maintain software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, incorporating best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements into the software development process.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on SDLC activities, including requirements management, design, implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of automotive product development processes, such as DPRTS and GES (Global Eng System), to ensure alignment with organizational goals, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Promote the adoption of agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, within the software development organization, providing training, coaching, and mentoring to project teams on agile practices and principles.
  • Lead the implementation of process optimization initiatives, leveraging tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for software development processes, methodologies, and tools, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational best practices.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using tools such as Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, Tableau, and Power BI to communicate key metrics, performance indicators, and process improvements to stakeholders.
