The Software Engineering Manager will lead a UX-focused engineering team, overseeing the development of user-centric software solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure intuitive digital experiences. The role involves driving UX engineering best practices, integrating front-end and back-end technologies, and improving usability. The manager will also mentor engineers, drive UX practices, and stay updated on industry trends. They will also be involved in brand experience migrations and integrating new security capabilities.
Must have:
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Expertise in front-end technologies
  • Experience with backend development and API integration
  • Track record of delivering user-centric digital experiences
  • Deep understanding of UX principles and accessibility standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working in Agile environments
Good to have:
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries
  • Knowledge of data-driven UX decision-making
  • Familiarity with AI-driven UX enhancements and personalization techniques
  • Strong experience in running experimentation frameworks

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with a strong background in User Experience (UX) to lead our UX-focused engineering team and drive the end-to-end experience of our products. 

As the Software Engineering Manager – Hosting Experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of user-centric software solutions. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences. Your leadership will help shape the future of our user interactions by advocating for best UX practices while ensuring high-quality software delivery. 

What you'll get to do...

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on UX development. 
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate design vision into scalable software solutions. 
  • Drive UX engineering best practices, including accessibility, responsiveness, and performance optimization. 
  • Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end technologies to enhance user experience. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve usability, customer engagement, and user satisfaction. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX methodologies to continuously improve our products. 
  • Brand experience migrations to streamline onboarding for new security products.
  • SSL experience uplift, including dashboards, setup flows, and visibility enhancements.
  • Integration of new security capabilities within hosting, ensuring these features are discoverable, intuitive, and valuable to users. 

Your experience should include...

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 
  • Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, Next.JS, Node.JS 
  • Experience with backend development and API integration to support UX goals. 
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-centric digital experiences. 
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, etc.). 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience working in Agile and cross-functional environments. 

You might also have...

  • Experience with design systems and component libraries. 
  • Knowledge of data-driven UX decision-making (A/B testing, user analytics, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with AI-driven UX enhancements and personalization techniques. 
  • Strong experience in running experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and feature flagging to drive iterative improvements.
