Apex Dental Studio is seeking experienced Dental Assistants for their Warsaw & Huntington offices. Candidates must have an active Indiana Dental Radiographer License and be committed to patient care and oral health. EFDA certification is preferred.

Job Description

Apex Dental Studio Warsaw & Huntington offices are currently seeking experienced Dental Assistants (EFDA preferred).

Must have active Indiana Dental Radiographer License.

This is a general dentistry office, seeking to put together a wonderful team. We utilize Dentrix Ascend software, digital radiography and digital records systems.

We are looking for someone to serve as an advocate to our patients and committed to helping them maintain excellent oral health. The Dental Assistant’s role is essential and integral for optimum patient care with duties including; setting up and cleaning treatment rooms, escorting patients to the operatory and making them comfortable by utilizing comfort menu, and assisting the doctor chairside with all clinical treatments while maintaining a positive, collaborative environment and improving the lives of others through dental care.

Other dental assistant required duties include:

  • Perform usual and customary duties of a dental assistant
  • Finishing and polishing composite restorations (EFDA candidates)
  • Taking dental x-rays
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments, handpieces and other equipment in compliance with OSHA standards and CDC guidelines
  • Sending and monitoring lab cases
  • Following up with patients after treatment and providing relevant instructions
  • Providing patient education and nutritional counseling to maintain oral health
  • Monitoring inventory and ordering dental supplies
  • Various office tasks as directed by the Dentist or Office Manager

Dental Assistant Education and Experience Requirements include:

  • Graduate of accredited dental assisting program
  • Active Indiana Dental Radiographer License
  • Compliance with state dental practice requirements
  • Computer skills
  • EFDA, Coronal Polishing and Fluoride Application certified candidates strongly preferred

Availability: Weekdays + occasional Saturdays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
