Position Overview: Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

Priority: Drive European Design Wins at Broadcom Hybrid and Targeted Channel Customers

As a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) at Broadcom, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical engagements and solutions for our European customers. This includes supporting qualified opportunities from the Broadcom sales team, contributing to the design of Broadcom products, and delivering technical expertise across all phases of the sales process. You will be integral in ensuring customer satisfaction through technical guidance, demonstrations, training, and post-sales support. The FAE will focus on hybrid and targeted channel customers, using their technical knowledge to help design and implement solutions that align with customer needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Technical Expertise:

• Work closely with Broadcom sales teams to support qualified opportunities, providing technical insights and recommendations to ensure the design and integration of Broadcom products into customer applications.
• Understand customer requirements, challenges, and environments to offer tailored solutions, ensuring successful product integration and long-term customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical updates on New Product Introductions (NPI) and offer consultancy services to customers, helping them understand how to leverage Broadcom products effectively.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve application-specific issues, particularly in quality cases, ensuring product functionality meets specifications.

Training & Knowledge Sharing:

• Serve as a technical trainer in distributor FAE training sessions, empowering partners and customers with the knowledge to utilize Broadcom products effectively.
• Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and presentations to customers, ensuring they understand key product features and applications.

Pre-Sales Support & Deal Closure:

• Assist the field organization in achieving sales goals by contributing technical expertise throughout the sales process, from deal qualification to closure.
• Lead technical aspects of deal negotiations, ensuring that Broadcom solutions are positioned competitively and effectively to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze customer needs, benchmark solutions, and demonstrate product features to highlight Broadcom’s competitive advantages.
• Provide technical support to both pre-sales and post-sales activities, maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.

Product & Solution Integration:

• Work with customers to integrate Broadcom products at the system/solution level, ensuring seamless functionality in their environment.
• Act as the customer’s voice in influencing future product designs, ensuring Broadcom products evolve to meet market demands and customer needs.

Post-Sales Support:

• Provide ongoing technical assistance and training to ensure continued customer success with Broadcom products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address any post-sales technical issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Broadcom products and their applications in customer environments.
• Ability to articulate technical solutions and competitive advantages to diverse audiences, from engineers to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in technical sales support, customer training, and pre/post-sales activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Problem-solving expertise, with the ability to recommend and implement solutions that address complex customer needs.
• Knowledge of competitive landscape and ability to position Broadcom products effectively in the market.

This role requires a customer-focused mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes. As an FAE, you will contribute directly to Broadcom’s success in the European market by ensuring customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of our solutions.
