We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic and collaborative #PlaytechVF2011 finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, professional environment where your contributions will support key financial operations and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about finance, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of a variety of reporting and accounting tasks that are essential to the success of our growing business.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...

• Support the Purchase Ledger process, including raising Purchase Orders and ensuring accurate payment matching.
• Assist operational teams with budget management and expense tracking.
• Prepare consolidated cost analyses with detailed breakdowns and insightful commentary.
• Produce consolidated income statements for the CFO.
• Assist with budget planning and forecasting processes.
• Support the finance team on timely completion of regulatory report submissions.
• Manage marketing and operational payments to third parties, verifying invoice accuracy and ensuring timely payments.
• Ensure accurate month-end provisions and reconciliations.
• Assist within statutory and internal audits, providing necessary support and documentation.
• Conduct periodic cost analysis and reporting to aid strategic decision-making.
• Provide ad hoc financial support to the CCO and CEO as required.

Qualifications

Components for success. You have...

• Proven experience in a Finance Assistant, Financial Accountant, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct numerical discrepancies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial functions and spreadsheet creation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• An Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

You'll get extra points for...

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Part-qualified accountant or AAT certification.
• Experience with SAP Business One or similar accounting software.
• Background in the gaming industry is highly advantageous.
