Finance & BizOps - EPD

You will serve as the strategic finance partner for our Engineering, Product & Design teams, architecting our commercial relationships with major AI model providers and optimizing cloud economics to drive efficient technical scaling. Lovable enables anyone to build software with any language, transforming ideas into products rapidly. Must Have

• Understand nuances of usage-based pricing and token economics
• Seasoned negotiator for technical vendors
• Align internal teams for deal structuring
• Excel expert modeling chops
• Data skills (SQL, Hex, BI tools)
• Technical literacy to gain credibility with Engineering leaders
• Translate technical concepts/decisions into financial impact
• Proactive, 'can-do' attitude
• Comfortable owning operationally tedious work for clean handoffs
• 8+ years relevant experience, including 4+ years in strategic finance and BizOps supporting R&D/EPD at a SaaS company
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar)

What we’re looking for

• Hyperscaler Strategist & Deal Architect: You understand the nuances of usage-based pricing and token economics. You are a seasoned negotiator who can align internal teams and go toe-to-toe with technical vendors to structure deals that balance unit economics, committed spend, and flexibility.
• Technical & Analytical Authority: You have the "Excel expert" modeling chops, data skills (SQL, Hex, BI tools), and technical literacy to gain immediate credibility with Engineering leaders. You can easily translate technical concepts/decisions into financial impact.
• Service-First Partner: You bring a proactive, "can-do" attitude to every interaction and are comfortable owning the operationally tedious work required to ensure clean handoffs between technical teams, finance, and procurement.
• Finance & BizOps Veteran: You bring 8+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years in strategic finance and BizOps supporting R&D/EPD at a SaaS company. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar).

What You’ll Do

• Drive Hyperscaler 360 Strategy: You will orchestrate the strategy for Lovable’s relationships with model providers, aligning cross-functional teams to ensure we are building strategic alliances, not just buying tokens.
• Architect High-Value Partnerships: You will lead commercial negotiations with LLM providers and technical partners, securing competitive pricing, favorable terms, and capacity commitments that protect our margins as we scale.
• Run Financial Operations for EPD: You will implement rigorous FinOps practices, linking model performance and usage data to financial outcomes to ensure every dollar spent on compute generates tangible value.
• Drive EPD Planning & Investment: You will own headcount planning, budgeting, and investment tradeoffs for the EPD org to enable fast execution without waste.
• Build an AI-Native Function: You will reject the status quo of manual spreadsheet work by integrating AI agents and automation into the finance workflow, building a modern infrastructure that moves at the speed of Lovable’s AI platform.
