Motorola Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) is seeking a data engineer to join its growing analytics team. This hybrid position will focus on expanding data infrastructure, developing data pipelines and datasets, and connecting analysts to financial data for management reporting. The role supports a new team bridging revenue operations and data analytics, providing critical insights to optimize go-to-market strategy and increase revenue. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable with large datasets, possessing a problem-solving mindset and collaborative spirit.
Must have:
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and support optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Document process workflows and data flow diagrams.
  • Develop and manage data integration and ETL and ELT workflows in Python.
  • Assist in database migration, upgrades, and patching.
  • 4 years of experience writing SQL.
  • 4 years of experience writing Python Code.
  • Familiarity with database administration concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
  • Understanding of building and developing web services and API.
Good to have:
  • Background in computer science, data engineering, or similar field.
  • Exposure to financial concepts.

Motorola Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) provides trusted security solutions to the global market. This division of Motorola comprises the Pelco, Multi-Sight, IndigoVision, and Avigilon brands. Together, we design, develop, and manufacture video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Avigilon’s solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.

Job Description

Motorola Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) is seeking a data engineer to join our growing analytics team. The data engineer will work on expanding data infrastructure, developing data pipelines and datasets, and connecting our analysts to data they need. This position will be primarily working on financial data for the purposes of management reporting. This position will support a new team whose function is to bridge the gap between revenue operations and data analytics, providing critical insights to optimize our go-to-market strategy and increase revenue.

Responsibilities Include

Target Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
